1.  Acknowledge that you are engaged in a real spiritual fight v.1-3

Ephesians 6:12, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”

1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.  Resist him, firm in your faith.”

2.  Understand the enemy operates in the spiritual to disrupt the natural v.4

1.  Spiritual blindness – 2 Corinthians 4:4

2.  Distortion – Genesis 3:1-7

3.  Lies – John 8:44

4.  Deception – Revelation 12:9

5.  Temptation – Matthew 4:1-11

6.  Accusations – Revelation 12:10

7.  Oppression – Acts 10:38

3. Engage the fight with the right weapons on the right battlefield v.4-5

1. There's always hope of a new day when I seek Jesus.

2. There's always hope of a fresh start when I know Jesus is risen.

3. There's always hope of a Renewed strength when I worship Jesus.

6. Christ's presence protects me from seeing God on judgment day.
