Sunday Apr 16, 2023
Sunday Apr 16, 2023
To be spiritually clean I must…
1. Initially be forgiven of sin and saved which brings about a union with Christ
Isaiah 64:6, “All of us have become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous acts are like filthy rags; we all shrivel up like a leaf, and like the wind our sins sweep us away.”
2. Continually confess sin in order to maintain communion with Christ
1 John 1:9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
Psalm 32:5, “I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the LORD,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin.”

Let us be in 23
Let us be Ready
Matthew 24:44
Sunday, 2/19/23
Acts 1:11, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come back in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”
1. Let us be ready so you won’t be left behind
2 Peter 3:3,8 “Knowing this first of all, that scoffers will come in the last days with scoffing, following their own sinful desires. They will say, “Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things are continuing as they were from the beginning of creation. But do not overlook this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance. But the day of the Lord will come like a thief.”
2. Let us be ready because of the signs
2 Timothy 3:1, “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power.”
Daniel 12:4, “But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. For many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.”
3. Let us be ready by…
Coming to know Christ as savior
Continuing to grow in Christ as savior

Let us be Trusting
Matthew 6:25-34
Sunday, 2/12/23
How not to worry: Settle your heart on what Jesus says is true
So what does Jesus tell us about not worrying…
1. Know that God the Father cares for you
Psalm 86:15, “But you, Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness.”
1 Peter 5:7, “Cast all your anxiety onto God because he cares for you.”
2. Know that worrying doesn’t change anything
Psalm 131:1-2, “I do not concern myself with great matters or things too wonderful for me. But I have calmed and quieted myself, I am like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child I am content. Israel, put your hope in the LORD both now and forevermore.”
3. Know that God is sovereign over my circumstances
Isaiah 55:8-9, “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord. “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.”
4. Know that if I focus on God, God will handle the rest
