1.  It’s not just hearing God’s word but putting it into practice.
2.  Putting God’s word into practice is wise for building my life
3.   Putting God’s word into practice to build my life requires patience and fortitude
Luke 6:46, “Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock.  But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation.”
4.  Putting God’s word into practice is a protection for my life
God’s word protects me against falling away because of sin
God’s word protects me against falling away because of suffering
God’s word protects me against falling away because of suppositions
God’s word protects me against falling away because of sentencing
